Thembi Duncan (she/her) is a teaching artist, theatre director, public speaker, and community builder with over twenty years of experience synthesizing social justice, education, and performing arts in Washington, D.C. and recently, Buffalo, NY. Leadership highlights include serving as Director of Arts Engagement and Education at Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Creative Programs Director of Young Playwrights' Theater, Producing Artistic Director of African Continuum Theatre Company, and Lead Teaching Artist at historic Ford’s Theatre. Ms. Duncan holds a B.A. in Theatre, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland and is pursuing an M.S. in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from SUNY Potsdam.
